Rønne is called the capital of Bornholm and with the island's main port, the city is very naturally a focal point. The town has a wealth of attractions such as Bornholm Museum, Svenskehusene, the Citadel south of the city, St. Nicolai Church and the numerous low-timbered houses.
Aakirkeby is also called The Flower Town and hosts each summer the popular Flower Fest, where people come from near and far. In the town there is also a Catholic church from 1932 and you can visit the exciting adventure center "NaturBornholm".
Nexø is Bornholm's second largest city. In 1877 the famous writer Martin Andersen Nexø moved here with his family and took hes name from the city. In Nexo you will find Bornholm Glass and Ceramics School and Nexøs old smokehouse.
Svaneke is especially known for its large herring smokehouse "Røgeriet i Svaneke". Since 1750 beer has been brewed in the town, and the present brewery, Svaneke Bryghus, opened in 2000 as one of Denmark's first microbreweries. Svaneke square is known for its cozy "Market days" with many stalls, and the city was given the title "Denmark's Most Beautiful Town" in 2013.
